I am really excited about today’s feature and am sorry it is so late in the day. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of taking a ride on the OMG Trolley for a wine night in Tampa. If you are not familiar, the OMG Trolley is a wonderful way to take a tour around Tampa whether it be for wine tasting, seeing holiday lights or enjoying a night of comedy. I had a blast when I went and can’t wait to ride again. It was myself and a few other bloggers and we enjoyed a tour that included Vintage Wine Cellars, Traveling Corks and the Wine Exchange. We all boarded the trolley in Hyde Park and set off for a night of wine, fun and laughter.
Our first stop was at Vintage Cellars in South Tampa. I had not been to this adorable wine shop in ages and was so glad to revisit them. We enjoyed a few wines including one of my favorites of the night from Spain, Vina Mayor Toro.
It went so well with brie cheese I was devouring since I hadn’t yet eaten dinner. Slowly but surely I felt the stress of my day melt away and I was enjoying myself tremendously. I made a list of wines that I will be picking up for the holidays to give as gifts and to keep for myself.
Next up was Traveling Corks on Bay to Bay and it was my first time in their shop. It is a fantastic spot and can’t believe how many times I have driven by without stopping in.I was immediately drawn to their super cool decor and just wanted to plop myself down on one of their comfy couches and sip wine all night.
We enjoyed a few great wines including a fabulous New Zeland Pinot Noir from Wairau River. I enjoyed it tremendously and learned so much about the winery.
Our final stop was at The Wine Exchange in Hyde Park where we began the tour. We enjoyed sampling Landmark Vineyards Overlook Chardonnay and Justin Cabernet. I enjoyed both as we wrapped up the evening talking and laughing. I made a few new friends that night a got to visit some great places in beautiful South Tampa.
