I seem to be falling deeper and deeper in love with Westfield Shopping Centers this holiday season. Not only is it my go-to for holiday shopping, there are things everywhere to get my stressed mind into the spirit of the season. Last weekend my kids and I spent the afternoon at Westfield Brandon making ornaments, decorating gingerbread cookies, visiting with Santa and even taking a photo with some of Santa’s reindeer. Needless to say, we had such a great time and made some beautiful memories.
My kids were so proud of their creations that they actually let me have a bite of their cookies which never happens!
Westfield does such a beautiful job with all of their holiday decor. Santa must feel right at home as he visits with children from all over Tampa Bay.
My daughter had such a blast making her ornament which is now proudly displayed on our Christmas tree. What made our day even more special was knowing that Westfield is such a huge supporter of St. Jude. Here are just a few ways they are helping out this holiday season:
- Gold Team with thirty-three teams participating in the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.
- Engaging the Westfield guest throughout the mall during the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® season.
- Encouraging guests to add on a St. Jude donation to their Westfield/AMEX Holiday Gift card.
- Promoting Santa Shop photography where guests are encouraged to include an add-on St. Jude donation to their Santa photo order.
- Promoting the sale of St. Jude ornaments and plush bear in select premier Westfield locations.
I love teaching my children the importance of giving and what the holiday season is really about. In fact, while visiting with Santa, they told him that they want to give gifts to kids that are less fortunate. That absolutely made my heart melt.
Just when we thought our day could not get any more magical, we spotted some reindeer and just had to get a photo.
I do not think my kids stopped smiling the entire day and keep asking when we can go back. If you are looking for some fun, family-oriented holiday activities, Westfield has you covered. Visiting with Santa is a must and it gets pretty crowded. Be sure to purchase your ticket here, as space is limited and advance purchase is required.
If you happen to be a parent to a dog, you must check out their Hounds for the Holidays event. I will be taking my furry friends, Vinny the Weenie and Rocky, to the festivities this Sunday, December 11th and they are really excited. You can view all Hounds for the Holidays events at your local Westfield Shopping Center by clicking here. I will be sure to share their experience with you next week.
I hope you have a great weekend and would love to know if you get out to one of the Westfield Shopping Centers and share with me #HowDoYouHoliday.
