Burgers and Brews at EATS! American Grill #31DaysOfLove

Eat and Drink

There was no way that I could not include EATS! American Grill in my #31DaysOfLove project for December. Let’s just say that I have a very “close” relationship with them. 😉

Since opening in the spring of 2010 in South Tampa, EATS! has been known for their burgers and have one more than a few burger battles in the bay. After expanding with a second location in Riverview in 2014, EATS! has been dominating the local burger scene with their famous burgers. Last year they began dabbling with “Burger Tour of America” by featuring regional favorites from across the U.S. each week. On January 2nd, they will kick off their burger tour again with 52 burgers for 2017. Here are some of my favorites from this past year:

Kansas City BBQ Burger: 1/2 lb hand cut Angus patty grilled with smoked Gouda, sautéed onions, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, pulled pork and BBQ chips on a sesame bun.

The Juicy Lucy: 1/2 lb Angus stuffed with American cheese, topped with melted American, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup and mayo.

Red, White and Blue Burger: This was the burger that lead to a victory for EATS! for Best Burger in the Bay at the Burger Showdown in 2013. It consists of 1/2 lb Angus blacked and topped with melted blue cheese, onions sauteed in their famous Heat sauce, lettuce, tomato and red onion.

EATS! Double Double: They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and EATS! paid tribute to that famous burger from In-N-Out. This version combines two four oz patties with melted American, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mustard and their special twangy 2.0 sauce.

Wisconsin Butter Burger: 1/2 lb Angus topped with melted cheddar, Swiss, sautéed onions and BUTTER!

A burger with fries is a match made in heaven and what better way to up your fry game than with garlic fries. Made with fresh garlic and Parmesan, these fries are the perfect way to enhance your burger experience.

When it comes to beer, EATS! loves local and regional favorites. Pint nights are very common in their Riverview location as are beer dinners.

Local favorites that make regular appearance on tap are Two Henrys, Coppertail, Cigar City, Green Bench, Motorworks, Hidden Springs, Cigar City, 3 Daughters, Cycle Brewing and more.

Riverview has 30 taps that rotate often so you can be sure to always try seasonal favorites. Can’t decide? Try a beer flight.

Every Monday, EATS! features their Classic, 1/2 lb Angus burger for just $5! You can’t beat a $5 burger paired with a local brew. EATS! is giving away a $50 gift card and if you do the math, that is ten $5 burgers. 🙂 To Enter, simply follow the link below. Good luck!

Since I love onions, the Onion Burger popular in Reno would be a great treat to me. I would definitely come in for that special. I also would put in a vote for the Luther Burger which uses 2 doughnuts as buns in stead of bread.

I would like a maple inspired burger which doesn’t just mean maple bacon but something special, more of a sweet and spicy battle royale on my taste buds. I’m thinking ghost pepper marinated in / infused maple reduction. For the real hot heads fresh jalapeño is available on the side.
