The holidays would not be the same without wine and cheese and I am very lucky to live walking distance from one of the best wine shops in Tampa. Craft & Curd is located at 2908 W. Gandy Blvd, Suite B, in a cozy little plaza between MacDill and Bayshore. With over 60 selections of wine for $15 and under, local craft beer and a fantastic cheese selection, they are your one stop shop for all your entertaining needs. Being that my nickname is “Champagne Girl,” I love their selection of bubbles which is filled with many of my favorites.
I love creating cheese and charcuterie boards paired with fun garnishes and spreads for parties and Craft & Curd has some of my favorite items, such as this fig and cocoa spread. I could eat this entire jar with a fresh baguette and a glass of one of their fantastic sparkling wines.
One of the things that caught my eye on my first visit to Craft & Curd is that they carry my favorite brand of cheese, Cowgirl Creamery. Their Mt. Tam Triple Creme is named after a Northern California landmark: the majestic Mt. Tamalpais and its flavor profile exudes notes of cultured butter with hints of white mushroom. Mt. Tam is a must for me during the holidays and is sure to excite your palate as well as your holiday party guests.
I truly could lose myself in their captivating wine selection so be sure to speak to owner Tom, who will point you in the right direction. After attending a wine tasting last year, his passion and knowledge blew me away and he would be my go-to person for any wine advice.
Beer lovers will be in heaven with their craft selection available in cans, bottles and growlers. Currently they have two selections from one of my favorite breweries, Funky Buddha. Their Last Snow Porter is my go-to during December so be sure to grab some before it is gone.
Tom is graciously giving one lucky reader a pair of wine selections from Sheldon. If you win, feel free to invite me over, I will bring the cheese. 🙂
