Raising the Bar with Bungalow 23 Cocktail Mixers

I was recently introduced to a line of gourmet cocktail mixers that are hand crafted with some of the world’s finest ingredients and taste far superior than any other mixers on the market. Produced locally in Winter Park, FL, Bungalow 23 is available in Blueberry Lemon Drop, Pear Ginger Martini and Prickly Pear Margarita. Ideal for your bar at home, you can create premium cocktails that will dazzle your guests and be the talk of your next party.


Working in a bar, I am able to experiment with different cocktails and decided to try each of the mixers and give to customers during a tasting. Made with blueberries grown in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, tart lemons, French lavender, lemon grass and pure cane sugar, Blueberry Lemon Drop is a sensational blend that produces a dynamic cocktail. Simply mix with the vodka of your choice, shake over ice and pour into a chilled martini glass. I had some fresh rosemary on hand that I used as a garnish which blended beautifully. The Lemon Drop was the first cocktail I learned to make when I was training to be a bartender many moons ago and has always been a favorite. I love the flavor of Bungalow 23’s Blueberry Lemon Drop and the color is absolutely stunning. Sweet with a hint of tart, this cocktail is perfect for any occasion.


Margaritas are another favorite of mine and I was intrigued to try their Prickly Pear mix.  Hand crafted with prickly pear cactus harvested from California’s Salinas Valley (which is close to where I grew up and known as “the Salad Bowl of the World”), fresh limes, oranges, cilantro and blue agave nectar, Prickly Pear produces a superior Margarita that is also gorgeous in color. I mixed mine with Patron in a shaker and garnished with a blood orange wedge. This was a huge hit with my bar crowd and I look forward to making these for my next taco and Margarita party.


Pear and ginger are one of my favorite flavor combinations and I was delighted to try their Pear Ginger Martini mix. Made with pears picked from Washington’s Wenatchee Valley, fresh ginger, lemons, lemon grass and pure cane sugar, this is one mix that is sure to delight the cocktail connoisseurs in your life. Sweet on the palate, it finishes with a warm kick of ginger and yields luscious beverage that will leave you wanting more. I enjoyed this mixed with Grey Goose Vodka over ice and garnished with a blood orange twist. You can also serve straight up.
