Happy Wingsday! As you know, I left my heart in San Francisco and this Nor-Cal gal was beyond ecstatic when I heard the San Francisco 49ers were coming to battle the Buccaneers here in Tampa. All I could think of was
Kaepernick’s muscles tailgating and bringing a small taste of San Francisco to my fellow Tampa friends.
Since I have been in Tampa for ten years, I looked to my fellow 49er fans back home for recipe inspiration. Several mentioned San Francisco Gold Rush wings and I began to research recipes on the internet. After testing a few recipes, I found one that I loved on the site taylor takes a taste as he featured Super Bowl wings from the famed match-up last year between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. His recipe for Gold Rush Wings is incredible and these wings were a huge hit at our tailgate.
The sauce is made with unique flavors such as clover honey, Mongolian fire oil, ginger teriyaki, and cayenne pepper. After the wings are fried and tossed in the Gold Rush sauce, they are coated with honey roasted peanuts and then topped with Sriracha.
Needless to say, our tailgate was a huge success and we had a blast. I will be be featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneer Wings recipe next week.
