Spice It Up With The Flavor Run 5K Plus A Giveaway!

I have always loved running and wish I had time to do it more often. As a busy mom who works 24/7, running is my “alone time” and gives me a chance to focus on my thoughts without interruption from phone calls and email. Since I love food so much, I have decided to take my love of running to the next level and begin to participate in some local races. I really owe it to my friend and fellow blogger Megan (I Run For Wine), as she has been such an inspiration to me. You can imagine my delight when I heard about The Flavor Run!

Flavor Run 1

On August 17th, runners will gather at the Florida Fairgrounds for the first ever FLAVOR RUN! Sound cool? What is even better is that the Flavor Run 5k supports local farmers and local businesses through creating a unique fun run engaging all of your senses; taste, smell, touch, hearing, and sight. During this unique event, there will be Flavor Stations that will cover you in a delicious flavored (FDA Approved/All Natural) celebration powder followed by a refreshing taste of locally produced fruits. I can’t think of a better way to enter my first 5k. Here are some tasty details:

DETAILS – $35 Early Registration 5k until 6/12 11:55pm

DETAILS – $40 Flavor Fairy Registration

Yes, you read correctly. Flavor Fairies. The Flavor Fairy program is for anyone who wants to dress up in your best fairy costume and throw Flavor Fairy Dust on runners/participants in the shade of the Flavor Forest.

What is the Flavor Forest? Just one of the most awesome features of the Flavor Run. Clocking in at just over a kilometer of running through a shaded area of trees during the run, the Flavor Forest will be a place of fun and excitement. Flavor Fairies will have full access to run around in dresses/tutus/wings/tiaras and sprinkle flavor on all participants. There will only be two waves available, so sign up ASAP.

Registration includes:

  • Everything in Flavor 5k Registration (Yep, you get to run the race too!)
  • Flavor Fairy Wings
  • Snacks & drinks
  • Basket of Flavor
  • Access to sprinkle Flavor on participants in the Flavor Forest
  • Wave 1 – 9am-10:30
  • Wave 2 – 10:30am-12:00

Flavor run 2

I hope you can join me for this awesome event. As a gift to my readers, I have a registration to give away to a lucky runner! This contest will end June 11th at midnight. Even if you don’t win, you can still get the initial registration price before the fees increase on June 12th.

    dessert motivates me to run! if i do my run for the day, then i know i have room for a little sweet treat :).

    I eat weird before a run. Pasta, yes. But, the really weird comes in with hot dogs stuffed with mashed potatoes and topped with cheese.

    I love wings!! I would never eat them before a race, but I will run more to eat more!

    I am addicted to CUPCAKES! They motivate me to run….because if I didn’t….I’d be so fat and out of shape it would not be good for me. I’m not at my ideal weight yet…and cutting out the cupcakes might help but they are my weakness for sure!
