As most agree, mac n’ cheese is the ultimate comfort food and after weeks of trying mac n’ cheese dishes all over town, I must say that this week’s feature is truly unique. Green Iguana on Westshore is a popular spot among my friends to go meet for drinks. Most of my visits have been late night and I have recently been discovering their diverse menu that mixes island favorites and American classics. After hearing about their incredible mac n’ cheese, I decided to pop in on a quiet Monday afternoon and see what all the hype was about.
With wonderful mac n’ cheese selections such as Buffalo Chicken and Philly Steak, I knew I made the right decision by stopping by to satisfy my insatiable mac n’ cheese craving. Always wanting something different, I went with their Philly Steak Mac-N’-Cheese and got two enjoy two American classics in one dish. Brilliant!
Made with tender shell pasta in a cheddar cheese sauce and topped with thinly sliced grilled steak, julienne peppers and onions, their Philly Steak Mac-N-Cheese is a bowl of delicious comfort. The combination of the steak with the cheddar cheese sauce and onions truly mirrors the flavors of a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. I must say, this is truly an innovative spin on mac n’ cheese and I really enjoyed it.
Cheers to Green Iguana for having such great mac n’ cheese!
