Datz never ceases to amaze me with their better than
sex, I mean better than bacon, menu. Oops, did I just type that? Well, if the stiletto fits you know I am going to wear it. I dined at Datz a few weeks ago for my son’s birthday dinner and I was, as usual, tickled pink with their new menu items such as The Wingman (Springer mountain farms airline chicken breast with Grand-Marnier-apricot glaze, served with Minnesota wild rice medley and cranberry compote), Mexicali Pork Tacos (3 twice-cooked pork tacos, shredded cabbage, lime crema, avocado, cilantro, papaya salsa, black beans), Mary Had A Little Lamb (rosemary / za’atar rubbed new zealand lamb lollipops served with pistachio cranberry quinoa, grilled lemon and meyer lemon / mint oil) and my personal favorite, When Pigs Fly (Datz bacon flite featuring Benton’s hickory smoked bacon, jowl bacon, back bacon, peppered bacon, and Nueske’s applewood smoked bacon served with balsamic glaze, maple syrup, red chili pepper jam and Vosges chocolate). Like I always say, you can never have enough pairs of shoes and Datz can never have enough fabulous menu items. As I was trying to decide what to order, my eyes spotted something I just had to have……Sweet Heat Sesame Wings!
Oh Datz, you know how to keep the romance alive for this here wing luvah. Sweet and spicy chicken wings with chili, peanuts and a sesame ginger glaze and served with papaya salsa, these wings are fantastique! I have an insatiable appetite for exotic wings and these left me deliriously happy for the entire evening. Just imagine succulent, juicy wings with a sweet heat flavor and refreshing papaya salsa. I tell you, it is pure nirvana.
Hurry up and get to Datz and try these wings with an ice cold adult libation. Their cocktail menu is pretty darn spectacular and I can’t think of a better place to wet my whistle in South Tampa than my beloved Datz.
Thanks Datz for giving me yet another reason to fall in love. I will never leave you.
