Today’s post is very near and dear to my heart. As a food blogger, I am very blessed in that I get invited to a lot of dinners and events. I often think about how lucky I am and that there are so many people in our world that are going hungry each and every day. When I first heard about Love with Food, I got so excited I signed up immediately. For each purchase of a $10 box of gourmet treats each month, a meal will be provided for a hungry child. How cool is that?
I have very eclectic taste and am always looking for unique foods. I signed up three months ago and since then have discovered an array of boutique items that I never would have discovered had it not been for Love with Food. From teas and chocolates to nuts and candies, Love with Food is one of the highlights of my month. I run to the mailbox daily checking for the arrival of my red box of goodies, much like Charlie Brown looking to see if he has received any Christmas cards.
Each box is filled with an array of goodies that I feel like a little girl on Christmas when I open my monthly box. Each shipment is seasonal and today’s box was filled with holiday themed treats such as a Gingerbread Boy from Nikki’s Cookies, Inc., 479 Popcorn, and more.
The story behind Love with Food also captured my heart. Founder and CEO, Aihui Ong’s story is so inspiring that it brought tears to my eyes. She is someone who took a risk to find happiness and along the way found a way to help others simply by doing what she was passionate about. To read more about her story, click here. I love what she has done and am honored to participate in this program.
“People often ask where I got the idea to start Love With Food.
Love With Food is not a mere business but a significant way of life.”
-Aihui Ong, Founder and CEO of Love With Food
