There is no better time to “get sauced” than during the holiday season. Chai Thai Teriyaki, Chai Chipotle Chup’, Garlic Goodness, Chai Sweet Chili and Chai Chipotle Q to name just a few. Yes, I am talking about the “hot” collection of gourmet sauces from Tampa’s own Intensity Academy. Locally produced and down right delicious, Intensity Academy is one of my favorite local products. You will always find their sauces in my kitchen and I am never without a bottle of their famous Garlic Goodness which is an all natural, garlic hot sauce that is out of this world! There are 100 lbs of fresh garlic used in a single 50 gallon batch with a four pepper blend! This sauce won my heart and I use it in everything from pasta sauces and dips to chicken wings and chili. It also makes an awesome stocking stuffer. 🙂
I first sampled sauces from Intensity Academy back in December of 2010. As soon as I tasted the Garlic Goodness, I just knew I had to meet the saucy genius behind this fantastic product. A few months later my wish was granted and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting founder Michele Northrup and fell in love with her spirit and amazing creative energy. Michele has become a key influence in my life and I am blessed to know her. My eyes tear up when I think of everything she has done for me over the past two years. She officially made me a “Saucy Sista” and I will always continue to spread the word about her fabulous line of gourmet sauces.
Based right here in Tampa Bay, Intensity Academy is an all natural, gourmet and hot sauce company. Since conception five years ago, they have won an astonishing 53 National awards! Their veggie based hot sauces and organic tea infused gourmet sauces are a hit from coast to coast. Their line explores intense flavors with varied levels of heat and there is something for everyone’s palate, from mild to spicy. Last year while attending a food blogging conference in Santa Monica, CA, I brought 2 cases of Garlic Goodness to give out to friends and bloggers and to this day, I still get emails and tweets about how much they loved it.
Another favorite of mine is their Chai Curry Chup’ which I use in Sloppy Joes, on burgers and in meatloaf. It’s unique and delicious flavor will leave you drooling for more. Here is a link to one of their recipes that is a favorite in my household: Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf.
