Get Your EATS! On! #31DaysOfLove

#31DaysOfLove, Burgers, Eat Local, Restaurants, South Tampa

Happy Monday! For day three of my 31 Days of Love, I want to share a place that has been a significant part of my life for the last two years. As many of you may or may not know, I bartend two nights a week at EATS! American Grill located at 4502 S. Dale Mary in South Tampa. I really enjoy working there and have met some amazing people who have become more than friends, they have become family.

Specializing in classic American dishes prepared in their traditional manner, EATS! American Grill is quickly becoming one of South Tampa’s most popular neighborhood restaurants. With Happy Hour all day and tons of delicious menu items, it is no wonder EATS! is such a popular place. This past February, EATS! was featured on the Food Network’s hit show, Heat Seekers, for their ultra spicy and now famous Midwestern BLT. I am blessed to have been a part of the whole experience and that is one day in my life I will never forget. If you have not yet tried it, the Midwestern BLT is one of my favorite sandwiches and is the dish I ordered on my first visit to EATS! back in July of 2010.  Grilled Texas Toast with fried green tomatoes, peppered bacon, lettuce and EATS! signature spicy sauce make this sandwich a truly unique and delicious creation. If you want to kick up the heat, you can try it with EATS! Heat Sauce made with a blend of five peppers including ghost pepper chilies. That sauce is what brought this sandwich Food Network Fame.  I must warn you, it is SPICY! Think you can take the heat?

I have featured EATS! American Grill a few times in my blog for various items and specialty cocktails. Today I would like to focus on their burgers, which I think are pretty darn good. I have had my fair share of burgers around Tampa Bay and EATS! has some of the best in town. All burgers are hand cut in-house and are half pound Angus, seasoned with US soil and cooked to order. Nothing quite compares to a fresh and juicy burger packed with flavor.  Every Monday EATS! features $5 burgers in which the standard burger with lettuce, tomato, red onion a pickle and a side of your choice is just $5!  They feature a wonderful toppings menu with choices of fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, onion rings, assorted cheeses, chili, and Mad Dog salsa to name just a few. Toppings are just a small up-charge depending on which one you go with. Mondays are now my favorite day of the week and I look forward to my Monday night bar shift.

I have some exciting news to share about a new burger that will be making its debut this Friday night at EATS!  Are you ready for this? The new house blend burger will consist of a 50/50 blend  of Applewood Smoked Bacon and  80/20 Angus. Now that sounds fantastic!  My dinner plans for Friday are now set and I hope to see you there. As part of my 31 Days of Love, I have a gift certificate to EATS! American Grill to give to a reader.  To enter simply comment on this post and tell me why you want to go to EATS. I will pick a winner on Wednesday, December 5th.  Be sure to find EATS! on Facebook as they are always featuring fun ways to earn gift certificates.  You can reach their page by clicking here.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

My family and I love going to EATS American Grill! We go often as it’s affordable, has great food and entertainment through large scree televisions and live entertainment on certain nights of the week. The on table speakers keep the kids entertained and the friendly owners and staff meet and greet people as soon as they walk through the door and stop by the tables often to make sure you are enjoying your meal. We Love EATS American Grill!
